Community Fundraising Coordinator

Are you a people-person who loves turning ideas into action? Do you thrive on building relationships, supporting inspiring challenges, and being out in the community making a real difference?

We’re looking for a Community Fundraising Coordinator to help grow and support our vibrant community of fundraisers, event participants and local supporters. This is an exciting, hands-on role at the heart of our fundraising team, helping to deliver creative events and meaningful supporter experiences that raise vital funds for Isabel Hospice.

About the role

You’ll work closely with colleagues across fundraising and marketing to coordinate challenge events and support a wide range of community fundraising activities. From cheerleading a first-time marathon runner to helping a local school plan a fundraiser, no two days will be the same.

You’ll help ensure our supporters feel valued, inspired and proud to fundraise for us, building long-term relationships that make a lasting impact on local families.

What you’ll be doing

  • Coordinating and supporting a varied programme of community and third-party fundraising events
  • Working with supporters to help them plan safe, successful and enjoyable fundraising activities
  • Building strong relationships with local groups, schools, organisations and individuals
  • Helping recruit and support community ambassadors and fundraising groups
  • Delivering excellent supporter stewardship, from first contact through to thank you and follow-up
  • Working with our marketing team to promote campaigns and share inspiring stories
  • Identifying new opportunities and fresh ideas to grow community income
  • Maintaining accurate supporter records on our database in line with GDPR

You’ll also be a visible ambassador for Isabel Hospice, representing our values and ensuring all interactions reflect the professionalism, care and integrity we are known for.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Organised, enthusiastic and confident coordinating events or projects
  • A natural relationship builder who enjoys talking to people from all walks of life
  • A strong communicator, both in writing and on the phone
  • Proactive, creative and full of ideas
  • Comfortable managing a varied workload and juggling different priorities
  • IT confident, with experience using databases or CRM systems

Experience in fundraising, events, or a customer-facing role would be ideal, but just as important is your energy, empathy and willingness to learn.

Our values matter here

We are proud of our values: Caring, Together, Respect, Responsive and Dynamic.
We’re looking for someone who will bring these to life every day, treating everyone with kindness and respect, working collaboratively, and being a positive ambassador for the hospice in the community and online.

Flexibility

This role involves community and event activity, so some evening and weekend work will be required. Flexibility is essential, but so is teamwork and support.

Benefits

  • 27 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata)
  • Pension and life assurance schemes
  • Employee Assistance Programme for health and wellbeing support
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Health Service Discounts
  • Refer a friend bonus

If you want a role where your work truly matters, where you’ll meet incredible people, and where you’ll help make compassionate care possible for local families, we’d love to hear from you.

We reserve the right to close this job earlier if sufficient applications are received, so please apply early to avoid disappointment.

Successful applicants will be required to undertake a DBS check.
