As an organisation embedded at the heart of the community we recognise, respect and value the differences of every individual, whether they are a patient, carer, family member, volunteer, visitor or colleague.
Isabel Hospice is dedicated to providing equal access to anyone needing our services. We acknowledge the unique challenges faced by many community groups and individuals in accessing palliative and end of life care. One in four people in the UK are still not able to access the care they need and deserve.
Any individuals using our services can be assured they will be treated with the utmost respect and know they are valued for who they are, their wishes respected and that their challenges will be addressed.
Isabel Hospice is seeking to help eliminate discrimination based on, but not exclusively; age, disability, gender or gender reassignment, marital status and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religious or political beliefs, social background, family circumstance, sexual orientation, spent criminal offences or any other reason.
Each member of staff and volunteer will be responsible for the promotion and advancement of this statement. Actions or words that transgress it will not be tolerated and will be addressed in line with Isabel Hospice policies.
